Eps-1: Igniting the Passion

In a country that had just gained its Independence, there were many barriers for the petrol heads who had the passion for speed, they ignited the passion for speed across the country and strived hard to break all the barriers thus laying a strong foundation for Motorsports in Independent India.

Eps-2: Fuelling the Passion

The Passion so ignited now got fuelled with more and more racing happening across the county and Sholavaram emerged as the MECCA of Motorsports in India. During this period the ones with powerful cars created a Barrier for the other petrol heads who relied on their driving skills with their regular cars, this led to the sharper minds finding alternative ways to dominate.

Eps-3: Blaze of Glory

Dominating Sholavaram was not enough for one team, they wanted to go for the world and so they did. On the other hand, the passion for racing grew bigger and bigger for a 4 year old kid who wanted to become the epitome of Racing.

Eps-4: Lasting Impressions

One of the biggest rallies in the world, London to Sydney Rally, covering 30,000 kms passed through India creating a lasting Impression that was about to change Indian Motorsports. While this was happening, another team built a car that was going to leave a lasting Impression for generations to come.

Eps-5: Passion for Domination

The current crop of Indian racers were ready to take their passion to the neighbouring country of Ceylon, to dominate. But it was not going to come easy. Meanwhile, the racing in the Indian scenario took a new dimension as the Formula-1 car touched the Indian soil

Eps-6: Dominating Sholavaram

The racing at Sholavaram reached its peak to attain its glory with the Formula cars dominating Sholavaram. This passion for dominating Sholavaram spread like a wildfire to get participants from across the world, while etching the grandeur of Indian racing across the globe.

Eps-7: Rendezvous with Vijay Mallya

A Rendezvous with Vijay Mallya and Vicky Chandhok, the two arch-rivals on the track and friends for life off of it. The conversation takes an emotional journey spoken with an open heart about Racing.

Eps-8: The Breeding grounds

For nearly four decades the defunct airstrips served as the breeding grounds for the petrol heads and created a strong foundation for Indian Motorsports before they closed down, Thus putting an end to an era that was called “Golden era of Indian Motorsports”.

SEASON 1

Timeline: 1949 to 1989
The beginning of the never ending spirit, from the back yards of the Maharajas palace to racing on the defunct airstrips, that became the breeding ground for athletes to dominate their passion to creating the worlds most admired event. From building their own cars and finally establishing a strong motorsports activity in the country.

SEASON 2

Timeline: 1980 to 1991
The beginning of a new era the world’s envy and India’s pride, the Himalayan Rally and the Coimbatore becoming the hub of Motorsports. To building the worlds cheapest racing cars that are raced even today, to today India becoming the centre of automobile. The emerge of Indian racers to reach the global arena.

SEASON 3

Timeline: 1990 to 2010
The transformation post 1990 with the first Indian in Formula 1 and the rise of men and women in all format of racing across the globe and development of the sport at the grassroot level, to the India’s first Formula-1 track and India’s first Formula-1 Grand Prix and India’s First Formula-1 team. This season will be the peak of Motorsports in India.

Timeline: 2010 to 2023
India shining from 2010 to till date, starting from India’s first formula team that put the country on the Global Map, to the Indian’s winning accolades across the global and the Government recognizing the athletes and the beginning of the league format, to the Formula E & MotoGP arriving, to India being the largest audience for the sports in the world.

An inspirational true story of Indian motorsports and the convergence narrated by racers and auto journalists. The series takes the viewer on a journey of the gone by era to current date in a chronological order. These stories will inspire the young generation and showcase the stories of the unsung heroes of India, who laid the strong foundation and are our true heroes. This is not about the history of motorsports per say, but a collection of various inspirational true events and true stories on how an unimaginable feat was achieved in spite of all the odds and barriers.

Breaking the Barriers is one such story that will take the viewer on the journey of motorsport filled with amazing action, emotion and glory, all narrated in great passion & emotion by the racers themselves. This series will enlighten and gives an Indian perspective on how things evolved from the start to current day.
When we started the research, it was like taking a deep dive in a bottom less ocean. That’s when we got the pioneering Auto Journalists to join us, apart from the racers of yore which helped us to find the beginning.
Join us as we present an impeccably narrated true story through the timelines that will make every Indian proud of their motherland and the unsung heroes of India. So fasten your seat belts as we will take you on India’s race to glory.

Motosport Connect

It all started quite early for my son Yash Aradhya at the age of nine, where he wanted to become a racer and thus began the journey and the saga of father and son. my son stared his racing with Go-Karting, became an epitome of racing and represented India in many international events across Asia and Europe and won many accolades. Further he graduated to Formula-4 and races in India, Asia and Europe. In a span of 12 years Yash won 13 National Championships with around 68 Race Podiums and 11 awards.

He became the first athlete from motorsports to receive the highest civilian award by the government of India for kids under the age of 18 when he was bestowed the ‘Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar’ in 2020 by the Honourable President of India Shri. Ram Nath Kovind and further Yash had the privilege of Meeting the Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi and was honoured of being part of the 71st Republic Day Parade.

This advent of me and my son connected us from the grass root level to the top athletes in India as well as the brands and the movers and shakers of Motorsports in India.
